Red Sea Safaries

Easy Divers have been running live aboard diving safaris for over ten years.

We work with a variety of boat owners, so that we can select the best boat to suit our client's requirements, of budget, number of cabins and itinerary. Although there are a wide variety of prices on the market, we will only work with the better quality boats for safety and reliability.

Our criteria for selecting a boat include:

  • Experienced Captain
  • Good Cook
  • Co-operative crew
  • Mechanical reliability
  • Safety equipment
  • Good diving facilities
  • Comfortable accommodation
  • Reputable boat management and/or owner

We have been selected to arrange several safaris for both celebrities and even Royalty; we have run safaris incorporating training seminars for associations and companies; we have organised both surveying and filming expeditions. Our regular safaris include three day mini-safaries, up to the wrecks in the North, for small groups through to the more normal six day Southern Red Sea trips for groups of 16 - 20 clients.

There is some more information here, and the Dive Sites button has more specific information about the dives. If you are not sure which safari programme you require or are looking for more information, then please contact us.

Easy Divers North Safaris

Hurghada is an excellent place from which to depart for a live-aboard safari to the North, visiting the wrecks, reefs and islands that lie along either side of the Straits of Gubal. As part of the busy seaway, linking the Mediterranean with the Indian Ocean, this area is famous for the many wrecks that have come to grief here.

From two or three-day mini safaris to full week charters there is some top class diving to be enjoyed in this area by divers of all levels. However a few of the dives are only appropriate to more experienced and qualified divers. Strong winds and currents may be encountered here, but there are quite a few Islands and large reefs to shelter behind. One of the main attractions of a North Safari is that it generally involves much less travelling between dive sites, than a Southern itinerary. This makes the whole trip a lot easier and relaxing despite the brilliant variety of sites. Click here for the Red Sea Northern Dive Sites in more detail.

Easy Divers South Safaris

Many of the magical reefs of the Southern Red Sea are only accessible with a safari boat, from the famous Brother Islands to the remote reefs of St Johns. All diving in the Southern Red Sea is diving at its limits; the conditions can often be rough with both strong winds and currents.

It is recommended that you should at least have an advanced qualification and must have some recent diving experience, to join one of the southern safaris. Some of the itineraries do involve considerable travelling time between dive sites, so are best enjoyed by those who are very much at home on a boat.
